Best Built Bikes in the World

In our humble Dublin2Bike opinion Merida are the best built bikes in the world, it’s not something quantifiable, it’s not something you can put your finger on but if you see the quality of a Merida being put together you can tell, they are just made better, then you can also tell by the way they feel when you cycle them, it’s just a feeling of quality and robustness that other brands find hard to match, Merida do have a distinct advantage in this however, as they along with Giant Bicycles are one of the two biggest builders of Bicycles in the world! Both Taiwanese, both Monoliths in the cycling world. Merida has always felt like the best built bike to us, but nowadays they have taken that a step further by also having some of the best looking and performing bikes in the world, like the New Reacto series, a stunning looking bike, some of their colourways are really special. It’s no wonder that they’ve just announced that Soudal Quick-Step will be on board Merida for 2027!

We feel that there’s 3 areas Merida excel in and that is EMTB, Road racing and Commuter bikes, they are mid level in price and usually sit close to Giant in this regard as industry influencers. Looking forward to seeing some new bikes from them in the Autumn.
